Krav Maga is the official combatives system of the Israeli military and has been adopted by multiple police and military organizations around the world. It is known for being brutally effective, direct, and adaptable to all sorts of situations and applications. Krav Maga is a proven system whose goal is to bring anyone to a high level of fighting proficiency as quickly as possible.

Class Descriptions


Krav Maga Beginner

Self Defense for women, men, and kids
  • Covers Yellow and Orange belt material (0-12 months)

  • Topics: basic fight strategy, movement, striking, simple grappling defenses, simple weapons defenses (gun and knife)

  • Introduces "stress training," i.e. training techniques under light to moderate stress

  • Open enrollment - any Krav Maga students are welcome; start anytime.

  • Techniques are rotated on a regular basis so lesson plans are always fresh.


Krav Maga Intermediate

Practical, effective, self defense
  • Covers Green and Blue belt materials (12-36 months)

  • Topics: continuation of unarmed defense from beginner levels, plus more difficult weapons defenses (stick, more gun, more knife, etc.)

  • Introduces sparring - controlled, limited contact at first; then working up to harder fighting.

  • Stress training is now moderate to heavy, facing multiple attackers and transitions between standing and ground fighting

Krav Maga Advanced

Learn Israel Military Combatives
  • Covers Blue, Brown, and Black Belt materials

  • Topics: advanced self defense techniques including grappling, advanced unarmed weapons defenses (long guns, knives, sticks, etc.), practical use of improvised weapons, 3rd party/VIP protection, etc.

  • Stress training is very demanding, including multiple attackers, training tools such as ShockKnives, and highly adverse conditions

  • Heavier emphasis on sparring and ground fighting


Krav Maga Open

MMA for street self defense
  • All-levels Krav Maga class - any KM students are welcome to attend

  • Lesson plans are at the instructor's discretion, typically will involve techniques from the entire system (including advanced techniques)

  • a fun and highly-varied training experience, KM Open is meant to get students exposure to the theories and principles of Krav Maga as a whole

Ground Survival

effective, simple fighting
  • Not a BJJ class, per se, but a mix of grappling and striking concepts

  • Mix takedowns with ground-and-pound, and occasionally bring weapons and multiple attackers to the fight

  • Work stand-up grappling, throws, sweeps and takedowns, ground position and movement, and more

  • Street self defense-oriented grappling class

  • This class is included in both the Combat Sports and Krav Maga memberships

  • Mix together punching, kicking, knees, and grappling in a multidisciplinary, self defense-oriented environment

  • Blend the technique from Combat Sports and the aggression and unpredictability of street fighting from Krav Maga - train against multiple attackers, against a brick wall, with weapons, etc.

  • This class is open to members of the Combat Sports and Krav Maga programs
